Jordan records 17 deaths and 604 new coronavirus cases

Jordan recorded 17 deaths and 604 new COVID-19 cases Wednesday, bringing the total number of cases since the beginning of the crisis to 737,888.

The death toll has risen to 9,489.

The cases are:

- 262 in Amman

- 75 in Zarqa

- 89 in Irbid, including one in Ramtha

- 20 in Karak

- 34 in Ma'an

- Four in Madaba

- 20 in Ajloun

- One in Tafilah

- 33 in Mafraq

- 35 in Jerash

- 22 in Balqa

- Nine in Aqaba

A total of 64 cases have been admitted to the hospitals, and 63 have been discharged upon recovery.

There are a total of 10,276 active COVID-19 cases.

A total of 937 recoveries have been recorded from hospitals and home quarantine, bringing the total amount of recoveries since the beginning of the coronavirus crisis to 718,123.

There are 552 patients receiving treatment in hospitals.

A total of 22,814 PCR tests were conducted, bringing the total to 7,336,971.

Wednesday, 2.65 percent of PCR tests came back positive, in comparison to 2.91 percent on Tuesday.
