The national Jordanian karate team, consisting of five players, has started its training camp in Russia in preparation for the Olympic qualifiers that will be held in France mid-June.

The five team players began their intensive training in Russia, with two training sessions per day, to raise the level of technical and physical readiness, before traveling to France to participate in the qualifiers in order to compete in the Tokyo Olympics.

The vice-president of the Karate Federation and media spokesperson, Manar Shaath, confirmed Sunday that the men's team will leave from Russia directly to France.

Shaath added that the youth and junior teams are participating in an internal camp in Amman, in preparation for their participation in the World League, which will begin in Cyprus Friday.

Shaath indicated that the Karate Federation is keen to provide all the requirements of the players of the national teams, in search of more achievements at all levels.
