Saturday, the Amman Chamber of Commerce (ACC) announced that it will start accepting applications from businesses that wish to reopen on June 1, as part of the government's three-stage plan to ease COVID-19 restrictions.

The facilities that can apply are sports and fitness centers, equestrian clubs, public swimming pools, cinemas, billiards and snooker centers, entertainment facilities, children's play areas, gaming shops and Turkish baths, according to a statement issued Saturday.

The ACC called on business owners to visit its headquarters to learn about the protocols introduced, and sign the application and undertaking vowing to abide by official health protocols issued by the Ministry of Labor.

According to official protocols, employers and employees must provide proof that they received the first dose of the coronavirus vaccine at least 21 days before returning to work.

The ACC's President Khalil Haj-Tawfiq said these procedures aim to save business owners time and effort.
