The Irbid Health Affairs Directorate, in cooperation with the National Center for Security and Crisis Management (NCSCM), launched a COVID-19 vaccination campaign in the Jordan University of Science and Technology, Yarmouk University and Balqa Applied University, to vaccinate faculty members as well as fifth and sixth year medical students.

The vaccination center vaccinates approximately 1,500 people on a daily basis, according to the Ramtha Health Affairs Director Ikhlas al-Saad.

The Directorate seeks to hire additional nursing staff with the aim of vaccinating 3,500 people every day. She noted that approximately 52,000 people have been vaccinated in Ramtha.

The Dean of Student Affairs at the Jordan University of Science and Technology Anas al-Nabulsi indicated that establishing a vaccination center on campus enables them to vaccinate the largest possible number of people in order to reach a 'safe summer' and bring students back to in-person education.
