The Canadian Prime Minister, Justin Trudeau, announced Firday the provision of $25 million in aid to help Palestinian civilians devastated by the recent Israeli Occupation aggression in both the Gaza Strip and the West Bank.

In statements, Trudeau said the aid will go directly to reliable organizations that will ensure the assistance of the most vulnerable Palestinian civilians to deal with the effects of the recent aggression, expressing his alarm towards the recent violence.

"We have seen all the disturbing images of displaced civilians, loss of life and pain for families."

He explained that $10 million will be allocated for urgent food aid, shelter, water, sanitation, hygiene, and psychosocial support for children.

Another $10 million will be allocated to support humanitarian efforts and reconstruction of damaged infrastructure, said Trudeau, adding that Canada will also allocate up to $5 million for peacebuilding initiatives that promote the goal of achieving comprehensive peace between the Palestinians and the Israeli Occupation.
