The National Center for Security and Crisis Management (NCSCM) announced Friday the opening of a coronavirus vaccination center at the Jordan University of Science and Technology (JUST), with operations at the new site starting May 29, 2021.

The center was opened in partnership between the NCSCM, JUST, and the Ministry of Health, with an estimated 1,500 citizens and residents expected to receive COVID-19 jabs on its first day of opening.

This number is expected to gradually increase, with the center estimated to receive about 3,500 vaccine-receivers per day.

Entry to receive the vaccine is available from the main gate of the university inside the gym, where medical and nursing staff will be allocated to deal with any case exposed to side effects after receiving the vaccine, according to the recommendations from the NCSCM and the Ministry of Health.

The opening of this center comes to increase the daily vaccination capacity in the Kingdom to gradually reach a safe summer in which most sectors and activities are reopened, and in a manner that contributes to preserving the health of the country.
