The Ministry of Health (MoH) explained Friday in a Facebook post, that the coronavirus vaccines cannot enter the nucleus of cells or alter the genetic material (DNA) in them.

The MoH indicated that all vaccines that are being administered in Jordan are safe and approved by the Food and Drug Administration (FDA).

The ministry added that the recipient of the vaccine should not do an antibody test before receiving the coronavirus vaccine.

The mRNA vaccines are a new type of vaccine to protect against infectious disease by making proteins in order to trigger an immune response.

Jan. 13, Jordan began its national COVID-19 vaccination campaign.
