Thursday, Foreign Minister Ayman Safadi affirmed that displacing the residents of Sheikh Jarrah neighborhood from their homes in Occupied Jerusalem is a "war crime," stressing that "the city of peace has turned into a killing field" due to the violations of the Israeli Occupation.

He added that Jerusalem is a city of peace, which the Israeli Occupation has turned into a place for oppression, displacement and humiliation.

He said that Jerusalemites are protected by international law, and defending Sheikh Jarrah’s residents is defending the law.

He affirmed that Jordan will continue to make every effort to end the Israeli Occupation violations on the Palestinian people and protect their rights.
