Wednesday, Kuwait lit the Kuwait Towers with the Palestinian flag, in solidarity and support for the Palestinian people.

This comes in light of the ongoing Zionist aggression in the Gaza Strip and various other Palestinian areas such as the West Bank and Jerusalem.

Kuwait announced the launch of an urgent 30-day relief campaign in favor of supporting Palestinians Wednesday, stressing that "this campaign comes within the framework of its commitment to support the Palestinian people and stand by them during the attacks and practices of the Israeli Occupation Forces."

Kuwait has been a long-standing supporter of Palestine. In 2017, during an international conference for an inter-parliamentary union discsussion held in Russia, Kuwait's chief lawmaker and National Assembly Speaker, Marzouq Al-Ghanim, slammed an Israeli Occupation MP on his comments on imprisoned Palestinian lawmakers.

"What was mentioned by the representative of this brutal occupying parliament represents the most dangerous king of terrorism," said Ghanim.

Ghanim said this “represents the most dangerous types of terrorism - the terrorism of the state.”

“You should grab your bags and leave this hall as you have seen the response of every honorable parliament around the world,” he said, addressing the Israeli Occupation delegation.

“Leave now if you have one ounce of dignity, you occupier, you murderer of children,” he added.

The Israeli Occupation delegation left the talks following the remarks by Ghanim and several other parliaments.
