Private school teacher COVID-19 vaccination campaign begins Wednesday

Wednesday, the Ministry of Education began a campaign to vaccinate workers in private sector schools against the coronavirus, in Amman and Irbid.

In statements, the ministry said the campaign "will be expanded to include all private schools in the rest of the governorates, as of Sunday, May 30."

A total of 29,206 teachers received the vaccine since the start of the campaign, according to the Ministry of Education.

The ministry said in a previous statement that the campaign to vaccinate teachers against COVID-19 which includes the public and private sectors, aims to vaccinate 160,000 teachers.

The Ministry stipulated the availability of six classrooms in each center in the directorates of education in the field, equipped with computers in each room, a refrigerator for keeping vaccines, a waiting hall equipped with a sufficient number of seats, and car parking, in addition to providing sterilizers and public safety requirements.

The Ministry renewed its call for all teachers to take the initiative to register on the official vaccination platform
