Jordan records 17 deaths and 1,104 new coronavirus cases

Jordan recorded 17 deaths and 1,104 new COVID-19 cases Monday, bringing the total number of cases since the beginning of the crisis to 725,258.

The death toll has risen to 9,276.

The cases are:

- 481 in Amman

- 168 in Irbid, including three in Ramtha

- 106 in Zarqa

- 87 in Balqa

- 74 in Karak

- 35 in Tafilah

- 35 in Mafraq

- 35 in Ajloun

- 32 in Madaba

- 25 in Aqaba

- 25 in Jerash

- One in Ma'an

A total of 81 cases have been admitted to the hospitals, and 70 have been discharged upon recovery.

There are a total of 11,085 active COVID-19 cases.

A total of 1,530 recoveries have been recorded from hospitals and home quarantine, bringing the total amount of recoveries since the beginning of the coronavirus crisis to 704,897.

There are 706 patients receiving treatment in hospitals.

A total of 31,185 PCR tests were conducted, bringing the total to 6,972,177.

Monday, 3.54 percent of PCR tests came back positive, in comparison to 4.22 percent on Sunday.
