The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) updated the official recommendations for fully-vaccinated individuals. The most notable of which is that fully vaccinated people can resume many activities that they used to do before the coronavirus pandemic without wearing a face mask or social distancing, except where legally required by law and official instructions including workplace guidelines.

If fully vaccinated individuals are traveling inside the United States, they do not need to get a PCR test done before or after travelling or self-isolate upon arrival. However, they should get tested three to five days after arrival from international destinations.

If a fully vaccinated person came into contact with someone who tested positive for COVID-19, he or she does not have to stay away from others or get a PCR test done unless they show symptoms. However, this does not apply to those who live in or work at "correctional or detention facility or a homeless shelter."

According to the CDC, people are considered fully vaccinated two weeks after receiving their second dose of two-dose COVID-19 vaccine or one dose off their single-dose vaccine.
