The Israeli Occupation Forces said Sunday that they have arrested two Jordanian citizens in the Gilboa area after they crossed the Jordanian-Palestinian border with knives, according to Reuters.
Palestinian media quoted Hebrew sources saying the police arrested them while they were walking near Route 6666, which links Ma'ale Gilboa to Beit Alfa.
In turn, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Expatriate Affairs confirmed that it is following up on the issue of the arrest, and that the Jordanian embassy in Tel Aviv is in contact with the authorities there to work on their release.
This is a developing story.
