Jordan records 23 deaths and 418 new coronavirus cases

Jordan recorded 23 deaths and 418 new COVID-19 cases Thursday, bringing the total number of cases since the beginning of the crisis to 722,754.

The death toll has risen to 9,203.

The cases are:

- 151 in Amman

- 58 in Zarqa

- 47 in Irbid, including three in Ramtha

- 41 in Mafraq

- 30 in Jerash

- 30 in Ajloun

- 20 in Tafilah

- 18 in Karak

- 11 in Madaba

- Seven in Balqa

- Three in Aqaba

- Two in Ma'an

A total of 63 cases have been admitted to the hospitals, and 107 have been discharged upon recovery.

There are a total of 4,200 active COVID-19 cases.

A total of 1,556 recoveries have been recorded from hospitals and home quarantine, bringing the total amount of recoveries since the beginning of the coronavirus crisis to 710,410.

There are 716 patients receiving treatment in hospitals.

A total of 10,417 PCR tests were conducted, bringing the total to 6,903,678.

Thursday, 4.01 percent of PCR tests came back positive, in comparison to 3.1 percent on Wednesday.
