Wednesday, the Israeli Occupation conducted airstrikes on a 14-storey tower in the Gaza Strip, which is home for many media offices in the densely populated area.

Journalist Youmna Al-Sayed told Al-Jazeera the building was struck by a couple of "warning" missiles, which was followed by a full airstrike.

“I can assure you that the aftermath of the destruction of this tower is going to be just terrible,” she said.

Sayed added said the building had three to four media offices, while the ground floor was home to restaurants and a bank.

Gaza's only major mall outlet is opposite the tower.

Sayed emphasized the building was not used by Hamas. But, the Israeli Occupation claimed that the "large buildings they target have been used by Hamas forces," with no further clarification.

“Targeting such a building which holds media offices is a clear message by the Israeli Occupation that it does not want any media to tell the truth of what is going on in the Gaza strip," said Sayed.

She said that the Israeli Occupation are conducting "crazy air raids that are taking place in every moment," emphasizing that they are strategically targeting the killing civilians of residential buildings and apartments.
