Jordan records 29 deaths and 483 new coronavirus cases

Jordan recorded 29 deaths and 483 new COVID-19 cases Wednesday, bringing the total number of cases since the beginning of the crisis to 722,336.

The death toll has risen to 9,180.

The cases are:

- 214 in Amman

- 77 in Zarqa

- 60 in Irbid, including 24 in Ramtha

- 21 in Ajloun

- 20 in Mafraq

- 18 in Balqa

- 17 in Mafraq

- 16 in Karak

- 13 in Tafilah

- 12 in Madaba

- Eight in Jerash

- Seven in Aqaba

A total of 78 cases have been admitted to the hospitals, and 123 have been discharged upon recovery.

There are a total of 4,302 active COVID-19 cases.

A total of 1,552 recoveries have been recorded from hospitals and home quarantine, bringing the total amount of recoveries since the beginning of the coronavirus crisis to 708,854.

There are 784 patients receiving treatment in hospitals.

A total of 15,604 PCR tests were conducted, bringing the total to 6,893,261.

Wednesday, 3.1 percent of PCR tests came back positive, in comparison to 4.33 percent on Tuesday.
