The governor of Madaba, Ali al-Madi, decided Monday to release 11 administrative detainees.

According to a press release, the decision came after looking through their files and ensuring that their release would not pose any threat to people's lives or the security of the country.

Earlier Monday, the Minister of Interior, Mazen Faraya, said that this decision aims to give the detainees an opportunity to become active and productive members of Jordanian society.
