Sunday, the Assistant Secretary-General for Primary Health Care Ghazi Sharkas said the indicators of the COVID-19 situation in the Kingdom are 'very good,' and that the numbers of new coronavirus cases and deaths are in a continuous decline.

Sharkas indicated that less than 1,000 cases are currently receiving treatment in hospitals. He also noted that the number of cases that are being discharged from hospitals are more than those being admitted. He also described the occupancy rate of Intensive Care Units (ICUs) in the Kingdom as 'comfortable.'

He stressed that this 'comfortable' COVID-19 situation is not the end of the pandemic. He added that caution is key and coronavirus vaccination is currently a priority.
