New 'Sesame Street' clips promote coronavirus vaccinations

Thursday, the popular children's show 'Sesame Street', announced the pandemic has indeed upended life... but "sunnier days are ahead." with a collection of COVID-19 orientated public service announcement videos.

The videos featured the famous red muppet. Elmo, his dad Louie, the Cookie Monster and others who promoted free COVID-19 vaccines while educating the public about them.

The clips were developed by the Sesame Workshop in coordination with COVID Collaborative and the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC), as part of Sesame Street's 'Caring For Each Other' initiative, which was created to educate children about proper health and hygiene practices during the coronavirus pandemic.

In one of the clips, Louie and Elmo show excitement, indicating they are hopeful due to the number of adults getting vaccinated in the US.

Each of the clips end by directing viewers to the 'Get Vaccine Answers' website.
