His Majesty King Abdullah II, at a meeting with private sector representatives Sunday, expressed appreciation for the sector’s corporate social responsibility initiatives to support local communities and contributing to women and youth empowerment, according to statements made by the Royal Hashemite Court on Twitter.

During the meeting at Al-Husseiniya Palace, His Majesty stressed the importance of strengthening cooperation between the public and private sectors to create new economic opportunities, and to build a road map for development for the next two years in order to find solutions to the continuous dilemmas the Kingdom faces, while building up on them.

His Majesty referred to the many opportunities that must be built upon, during the coming period, and the need to move forward with administrative reform.

In turn, the attendees emphasized the availability of various opportunities in their sectors, which can be built upon and developed, while attracting investments during the coming period, whether in the telecommunications, mining, transportation, pharmaceutical or energy industries.

They expressed their keenness to continue cooperation with the public sector, in a way that contributes to implementing projects in a number of sectors according to priorities.

They also emphasized their keenness to introduce the youth for future careers, pointing to the importance of institutionalizing social responsibility programs and granting incentives to the private sector to enable it to continue its development programs.
