Sunday, a member of the Epidemics Committee Munir Abu Hilala talked about a new treatment protocol used to treat COVID-19 patients. The treatment is a mixture of antibodies and it is authorized for emergency use by the US Food and Drug Administration (FDA) and the European Medicines Agency (EMA).

Abu Hilala told Roya that this treatment contributes to reducing the number of coronavirus deaths and infections by up to 71 percent, in addition to reducing hospital admission rates by 70 percent, among the elderly and those at risk such as patients with diabetes, heart diseases and obesity.

He added that this treatment can also prevent contracting the virus by up to 50 percent.

He expressed his hope that Jordan would order quantities of this treatment.
