Jordan records 33 deaths and 702 new coronavirus cases

Jordan recorded 33 deaths and 702 new COVID-19 cases Friday, bringing the total number of cases since the beginning of the crisis to 718,632.

The death toll has risen to 9,047.

The cases are:

- 187 in Amman

- 144 in Irbid, including four in Ramtha

- 99 in Zarqa

- 48 in Balqa

- 47 in Mafraq

- 33 in Madaba

- 32 in Tafilah

- 30 in Karak

- 28 in Ma'an, including eight in Petra

- 25 in Jerash

- 20 in Ajloun

- Nine in Aqaba

A total of 96 cases have been admitted to the hospitals, and 120 have been discharged upon recovery.

There are a total of 10,125 active COVID-19 cases.

A total of 1,250 recoveries have been recorded from hospitals and home quarantine, bringing the total amount of recoveries since the beginning of the coronavirus crisis to 699,460.

There are 1,020 patients receiving treatment in hospitals.

A total of 16,288 PCR tests were conducted, bringing the total to 6,814,404.

Friday, 4.31 percent of PCR tests came back positive, in comparison to 5.98 percent on Thursday.
