More than 70,000 Palestinians performed the Friday Prayer at Al-Aqsa Mosque on the last Friday during Ramadan, amid strict measures imposed by the Israeli Occupation Forces (IOF). 

Wafa News Agency reported that IOF strengthened police presence in the occupied city of Jerusalem, especially in the Old City. Tens of thousands of Palestinians were banned from entering the mosque at checkpoints. IOF also closed off roads that lead to the mosque in order to prevent worshipers from performing Friday Prayer.

The IOF has increased their attacks on Palestinians in Jerusalem since the beginning of Ramadan, during which hundreds were injured and dozens were arrested.
