Friday, the Ministry of Human Resources and Social Affairs in Saudi Arabia announced that it will soon make COVID-19 vaccination mandatory for all employees.
In a statement, the ministry said the decision includes employees of the public, government and private sectors, as well as the non-profit sector. Employees will not be allowed to enter the workplace if they did not receive the vaccine, it added.
The ministry indicated that it will publish the details soon, including when the implementation of this decision will start as well as the mechanism of implementation.
The ministry called on employers to encourage their employees to get vacccinated.
