The Clothes, Fabric and Shoes Syndicate estimated Thursday, that the prices of clothes and shoes in the current Eid al-Fitr season decreased by 10 and 15 percent compared to 2020.

They indicated that the decrease in prices were discovered through field studies and a market survey carried out during the past days.

The syndicate attributed the decline in prices to the state of stagnation in the markets during the last period, which led to the accumulation of some goods in merchant warehouses, prompting them to implement discounts to attract shoppers.

They added that the lower pricing is due to the demand for cash to fulfill merchant obligations, including rent, employee salaries and other operating costs.

The syndicate pointed out that the intense competition among workers in the sector, which includes 11,800 establishments throughout the Kingdom, was reflected in the prices of clothes and shoes, in addition to the diversity of the supply of goods and models.

They called on citizens to shop for Eid necessities and not to wait for the last days of the holy month to take advantage of the promotions and offers.
