Jordan records 26 deaths and 1,007 new coronavirus cases

Jordan recorded 26 deaths and 1,007 new COVID-19 cases Thursday, bringing the total number of cases since the beginning of the crisis to 717,930.

The death toll has risen to 9,014.

The cases are:

- 359 in Amman

- 150 in Irbid, including 40 in Ramtha

- 132 in Zarqa

- 64 in Balqa

- 62 in Karak

- 53 in Mafraq

- 51 in Ma'an, including 11 in Petra

- 41 in Aqaba

- 40 in Jerash

- 25 in Tafilah

- 23 in Madaba

- Seven in Ajloun

A total of 104 cases have been admitted to the hospitals, and 146 have been discharged upon recovery.

There are a total of 10,715 active COVID-19 cases.

A total of 1,677 recoveries have been recorded from hospitals and home quarantine, bringing the total amount of recoveries since the beginning of the coronavirus crisis to 698,201.

There are 1,078 patients receiving treatment in hospitals.

A total of 16,841 PCR tests were conducted, bringing the total to 6,798,116.

Thursday, 5.98 percent of PCR tests came back positive, in comparison to 6.82 percent on Wednesday.
