Wednesday, a security source told Roya that a man brutally assaulted his wife in Irbid using a sharp blade, similar to a box cutter.

According to the source, the man had a previous non-related warrant out for his arrest and was placed in custody. Upon his release a few days ago, he proceeded to threaten his wife with assault, which he later did.

The source explained that he assaulted her due to marital disputes.

Through three blows, the perpetrator cut his wife's face open with the sharp object.

She was taken to the hospital to receive the necessary treatment.

According to the security source, the attack occurred in front of their home.

The perpetrator is still at large, with investigations ongoing to determine his whereabouts.
