Wednesday, the Aqaba Health Affairs Director Saeb Abu Aboud said more than 25,000 people received the COVID-19 vaccine in Aqaba.

In a press statement, he said that the rising demand for vaccination prompted them to establish two new vaccination sites in Aqaba. One of the sites has started operating in the Islamic Hospital and the other will soon open in the modern hospital.

This bring the total number of vaccination sites in Aqaba to 11. He noted that the aim behind increasing the number of vaccination sites is to vaccinate the largest possible number of citizens and reduce overcrowding.
