Jordan Amateur Boxing Association disbanded: JOC

Tuesday, the Jordan Olympic Committee (JOC) was informed that a number of members of the Board of Directors of the Jordan Amateur Boxing Association submitted their resignation.

This led to the loss of the legal quorum of the Board of Directors and, based on the relevant law, must be disbanded. Accordingly, the JOC formed a temporary committee to manage the Jordanian Amateur Boxing Association.

The temporary committee includes His Royal Highness Prince "Muhammad Abbas" Bin Ali as the Chairman, His Excellency Saed Jaber and Vice President, in addition to Basil al-Shaer, Khetam Ay and Zaid Abu Saud as members.

Notably, the temporary committee will take over the investigation process in relation to the death of the young Jordanian boxer Rashid Sweissat. The committee will also supervise the plan to prepare the national team, which includes five athletes, for the upcoming Olympics. Finally, the committee will also manage the affairs of the association.
