Jordan records 30 deaths and 1,530 new coronavirus cases

Jordan recorded 30 deaths and 1,530 new COVID-19 cases Tuesday, bringing the total number of cases since the beginning of the crisis to 715,703.

The death toll has risen to 8,955.

The cases are:

-549 in Amman

-203 in Zarqa

-194 in Irbid, including 103 in Ramtha

-121 in Balqa

-84 in Aqaba

-83 in Mafraq

-67 in Ma'an, including 21 in Petra

-61 in Karak

-45 in Tafilah

-45 in Ajloun

-42 in Jerash

-36 in Madaba

A total of 140 cases have been admitted to the hospitals, and 133 have been discharged upon recovery.

There are a total of 12,321 active COVID-19 cases.

A total of 3,209 recoveries have been recorded from hospitals and home quarantine, bringing the total amount of recoveries since the beginning of the coronavirus crisis to 694,427.

There are 1,202 patients receiving treatment in hospitals.

A total of 19,676 PCR tests were conducted, bringing the total to 6,763,398.

Tuesday, 7.78 percent of PCR tests came back positive, in comparison to 7.89 percent on Monday.
