Monday, inspection teams from the Health and Professional Supervision Department at the Greater Amman Municipality (GAM) issued 82 official warnings to establishments for violating health and occupational requirements.

The GAM said inspection teams carried out 810 field visits Sunday, as a result of which 27 establishments were fined and eight were shut down for health and occupational violations. Another facility was shut down for defense order violations.

The statement added that the Health and Professional Supervision Department carried out joint field visits to ensure street vendors are abiding by the law. During these visits, 13 stalls were were fined, 129 stalls were removed and 4,786 liters of juice were discarded for being unsafe for human consumption.
