Jordan records 28 deaths and 1,272 new coronavirus cases

Jordan recorded 28 deaths and 1,272 new COVID-19 cases Monday, bringing the total number of cases since the beginning of the crisis to 714,173.

The death toll has risen to 8,925.

The cases are:

-394 in Amman

-272 in Irbid, including two in Ramtha

-103 in Zarqa

-71 in Karak

-66 in Aqaba

-65 in Tafilah

-61 in Mafraq

-59 in Madaba

-57 in Ajloun

-50 in Balqa

-37 in Jerash

-37 in Ma'an

A total of 122 cases have been admitted to the hospitals, and 170 have been discharged upon recovery.

There are a total of 14,030 active COVID-19 cases.

A total of 2,699 recoveries have been recorded from hospitals and home quarantine, bringing the total amount of recoveries since the beginning of the coronavirus crisis to 681,218.

There are 1,272 patients receiving treatment in hospitals.

A total of 16,122 PCR tests were conducted, bringing the total to 6,743,722.

Monday, 7.89 percent of PCR tests came back positive, in comparison to 6.22 percent on Sunday.
