Monday, a Roya correspondent in Zarqa reported that the COVID-19 investigation teams took 200 samples from those who came into contact with an individual who tested positive for the Indian COVID-19 strain in Zarqa.
The director of Zarqa Health Directorate, Khalil Al-Rawahneh, told Roya, "We are waiting for the results of the samples, which are supposed to come out during the next few hours.”
Rawahneh indicated that the samples were taken from employees who work in an iron factory in Al-Hashimiyah Brigade.
Saturday, three cases of the Indian COVID-19 strain were detected in Jordan.
The infections involved two in Amman and one in Zarqa.
