Jordan records 26 deaths and 824 new coronavirus cases

Jordan recorded 26 deaths and 824 new COVID-19 cases Sunday, bringing the total number of cases since the beginning of the crisis to 712,901.

The death toll has risen to 8,897.

The cases are: 

-288 in Amman

-181 in Zarqa

-85 in Irbid, including eight in Ramtha

-75 in Tafilah

-45 in Mafraq

-36 in Karak

-24 in Madaba

-24 in Ma'an, including three in Petra

-23 in Ajloun

-19 in Jerash

-13 in Balqa

-11 in Aqaba

A total of 122 cases have been admitted to the hospitals, and 138 have been discharged upon recovery.

There are a total of 15,485 active COVID-19 cases.

A total of 3,509 recoveries have been recorded from hospitals and home quarantine, bringing the total amount of recoveries since the beginning of the coronavirus crisis to 688,519.

There are 1,302 patients receiving treatment in hospitals.

A total of 13,244 PCR tests were conducted, bringing the total to 6,727,600.

Sunday, 6.22 percent of PCR tests came back positive, in comparison to 7.43 percent on Saturday.
