Sunday, the Council of Ministers announced that Arab tourists will be treated like Jordanian citizens, in terms of payment and entrance fees for museums and archaeological sites, starting May 1 until Dec. 31.
The Minister of Tourism and Antiquities Nayef al-Fayez said "this decision comes to encourage tourism between Arab countries."
He noted that this decision will benefit the tourism sector and contribute to revitalizing tourism with the beginning of the 'safe summer.'
Fayez added that the decision comes to encourage Arab citizens to spend their vacations in Jordan, which is secure and safe.
