Sunday, the vaccination center at Al-Bashir Hospital witnessed a suffocating crowd of citizens who came to receive the vaccine, triggering an outpour of frustration amongst those worried about their safety.

Citizens expressed their dissatisfaction with the lack of organization and the slow pace of vaccination inside the center. Mid-afternoon, some said they had been waiting since the morning to receive the vaccine, but to no avail.

The video clip received by Roya shows chaos, congestion, and no social distancing measures in place at the center.

Friday, the number of people who received the first dose in Jordan reached 699,328, while the total number of people who received the second dose of the vaccine reached 220,594 people, according to data published by the National Center for Security and Crisis Management.

A total of 1,541,699 have registered for the vaccine.
