Jordan records 35 deaths and 704 new coronavirus cases

Jordan recorded 35 deaths and 704 new COVID-19 cases Saturday, bringing the total number of cases since the beginning of the crisis to 712,077.

The death toll has risen to 8,871.

The cases are:

- 261 in Amman

- 175 in Irbid, including 32 in Ramtha

- 48 in Zarqa

- 45 in Mafraq

- 44 in Ma'an, inlcuding 23 in Petra

- 40 in Balqa

- 25 in Jerash

- 23 in Madaba

- 17 in Tafilah

- 12 in Aqaba

- Eight in Ajloun

- Six in Karak

A total of 166 cases have been admitted to the hospitals, and 141 have been discharged upon recovery.

There are a total of 18,196 active COVID-19 cases.

A total of 2,507 recoveries have been recorded from hospitals and home quarantine, bringing the total amount of recoveries since the beginning of the coronavirus crisis to 685,010.

There are 1,346 patients receiving treatment in hospitals.

A total of 9,742 PCR tests were conducted, bringing the total to 6,714,356.

Saturday, 7.43 percent of PCR tests came back positive, in comparison to 8.03 percent on Friday.
