Friday, the Greater Amman Municipality (GAM), in cooperation with the Public Security Directorate (PSD), carried out inspections to ensure compliance among street vendors in Downtown Amman.

The campaign aims to remove random stalls set up in busy areas, in front of mosques and other places which citizens complained about.

Wednesday, the government announced that there will be no more total Friday lockdowns, following the decrease in the number of daily COVID-19 cases, and based on popular demand by citizens and the parliament.

Thursday, Prime Minister Bisher al-Khasawneh issued Communication No. 33 for the year 2021, regarding the mitigating measures announced by the government Wednesday, including the abolition of Friday lockdowns.
