The Crisis Management Cell at the National Center for Security and Crisis Management announced the availability of a drive-thru vaccination service at Al-Hussein Youth City vaccination center. This service is for citizens of all age groups who got appointments to get vaccinated.

This is the fifth COVID-19 vaccination center in the Kingdom to offer a drive-thru vaccination service. Three others are located in Amman and one is located in Irbid.

Work is underway to launch the service at a sixth vaccination site in Prince Muhammad City in Zarqa. The center can currently vaccinate up to 1,000 people per day, but with the drive-thru  service it could vaccinate up to 3,000 people every day.

The increase in the number of COVID-19 vaccination centers is done in coordination with the Crisis Management Cell at the National Center for Security and Crisis Management (NCSCM), the Ministry of Health (MoH), the Royal Medical Services (RMS) and the Ministry of Youth. The aim is to increase access to target groups, especially elderly citizens, while adhering to public health and safety measures.
