Thursday, two doctors specializing in internal medicine gave their testimonies to the Amman Magistrates Court in relation to the Al-Hussein Salt New Hospital incident case.

March 13, a technical defect in the Al-Hussein New Salt Hospital caused patients in the intensive care unit (ICU) to be cut off from oxygen, which led to the death of seven Jordanians and outrage in the Kingdom.

Thursday, the court held its tenth session, headed by Judge Odai Fraihat, to hear the testimonies of two witnesses who work at the hospital. A total of 49 witnesses are expected to give testimonies in relation to the case.

Defense attorneys attended on behalf of the defendants who did not attend the session. The next session will be held Sunday, during which more witnesses will give their testimonies.

All 13 defendants who were arrested by the Public Prosecutor in relation to the case were released following the expiration of their detention period of 30 days.
