Wednesday, a video clip emerged on social media showing the front of a car carrier trailer burning in Aqaba. The trailer was carrying 10 vehicles, five of which appeared to be on fire too.

The media spokesperson for the Public Security Directorate (PSD) said that the fire broke out within the trailer due to an electrical short in the front section, which spread to the cars loaded in the back.

According to the media spokesperson, the Aqaba Civil Defense Directorate dispatched firefighting teams, who managed to extinguish the fire in the Rashidiya area.

No casualties were reported.
