Palestine recorded 14 deaths and 1,084 new COVID-19 cases in the past 24 hours, announced the Palestinian Minister of Health Mai al-Kaila Wednesday.

The new deaths involved five in the West Bank and nine in Gaza Strip.

The recovery rate in Palestine stands at 92.1 percent, while the active case rate is 6.8 percent and the death rate is 1.1 percent.

The new coronavirus cases included 17 in Qalqilya; 39 in Tulkarm; 52 in Jenin; 18 in Tubas; 81 in Nablus; 26 in Hebron; seven in Salfit; three in the suburbs of Jerusalem; 14 in Bethlehem; 31 in Ramallah and al-Bireh; one in Jericho and al-Aghwar; and 795 in Gaza Strip.

The recovery cases included 23 in Qalqilya; 109 in Tulkarm; 111 in Jenin; 25 in Tubas; 258 in Nablus; 77 in Hebron; 11 in Salfit; one in the suburbs of Jerusalem; 16 in Bethlehem; 74 in Ramallah and al-Bireh; three in Jericho and al-Aghwar; and 1,335 in Gaza Strip.

A total of 5,008 PCR tests have been conducted.

Currently, 145 people are in ICUs and 40 are on ventilators.

A total of 253,937 individuals received the first dose of the COVID-19 vaccine in the West Bank and the Gaza Strip, including 172,916 who received both doses.
