Tuesday, the Salt General Hospital Vaccination Center witnessed extreme overcrowding. Most vaccination centers across the Kingdom are witnessing overcrowding and large groups of people gathering at the gates waiting for their turn to get vaccinated.

The streets where vaccination centers are located have also witnessed extreme traffic congestion due to the huge turnout at certain centers. The King Abdullah II Gardens in alMuqabalain and the area around it witnessed overcrowding Monday, after a vaccination site was established inside the park.

Prime Minister Bisher al-Khasawneh said that strengthening the COVID-19 vaccination campaign will be the biggest contributor to reaching a 'safe summer' and reopening closed sectors.

He noted that Jordan has secured 10 million doses of the COVID-19 vaccine, which will enable the Ministry of Health to vaccinate approximately 150,000 people per day, starting May 8.

Khasawneh stressed that the government's strategic goal to reopen all sectors by July 1.
