Her Majesty Queen Rania visited the Yusra Women's Charity Society in Al-Faisaliah, Madaba Monday where she met with their board of directors to discuss and review their economic empowerment programs for women, with the aim of reviewing them while providing insight to help them to enhance their role in improving sources of income for families.

The president of the society, Ibtisam Al Shuara, along with other members of the board, acquainted Queen Rania on the economic projects they operate for local women and the response of beneficiaries to deal with the effects of the pandemic.

Her Majesty provided insight on how to strengthen the projects and the works that are adopted through the society, specifically the ones which involve the cultivation of aromatic plants for the purpose of medicinal home remedies.

Al-Yusra Women's Charity Society was established in 2009, and aims to empower women by building their capacities and providing them with economic empowerment opportunities. The society provides assistance to needy families, orphans, persons with disabilities, and community members, including awareness sessions, and grants to underprivileged families to generate income.

In 2017, the Royal Hashemite Court (RHC), in cooperation with the Jordan River Foundation, which provides support to the society, offered them several grants to support ideas and income-generating projects for local women.
