Monday, His Majesty King Abdullah II received the Gulf Cooperation Council's (GCC) Secretary General, Nayef Al Hajraf, at Al Husseiniya Palace.
Hajraf was Kuwait’s former minister of finance, who was sworn in Dec. 12, 2017. In Dec. 2019, he was unanimously approved as the next secretary-general of the GCC.
On Twitter, the Royal Hashemite Court (RHC), wrote "His Majesty King Abdullah II receives Gulf Cooperation Council Secretary General Nayef Al Hajraf at Al Husseiniya Palace."
The meeting dealt with developments in the region, foremost of which is the Palestinian issue and developments in Jerusalem.
Additionally, Hajraf congratulated His Majesty on the occasion of Jordan’s centenary on behalf of the leaders and members of the GCC, praising the great achievements made by the Kingdom.
He stressed that Jordan's security is considered ‘one’ with the security of the Gulf states, expressing the GCC's full support for Jordan's decisions and measures to preserve its security and stability.
