The late Jordanian artist Meteb al Saqar's older brother told Roya that rumors about his brother committing suicide are false.
Saqqar told Roya that his brother is a person of faith and 'suicide is the last thing he could consider'.

Saqqar said his brother fell from the window of his hospital room when he 'dozed off' while sitting on the edge of the window or perhaps lost his balance.

He added that the preliminary forensic report confirmed that there was no criminal suspicion behind his brother's death. He pointed out that the family had initially refused to receive the body and demanded to know the cause of death.

He noted that his deceased brother suffered from kidney failure, Arteriosclerosis, blood clots and one of his toes had been amputated.

He said that his brother's wife accompanied him following royal directives to treat him at the Hussein Medical City and she remained by his side throughout his stay at the hospital.

The father of four daughters had moved to Amman from Irbid four months ago to get medical treatment in the Capital.

The director of the National Center for Forensic Medicine Adnan Abbas refused to comment on the cause of the death leaving the matter to the judiciary.
