Friday, Palestinian authorities managed to return an 11-year-old boy to his family after he was kidnapped by individuals in the Yatta area, south of Hebron, West Bank.

The police media spokesperson, Colonel Louai Erzikat, explained that the child was kidnapped Thursday while he was going to school by people in the city of Yatta. The child's family filed a complaint with the Yatta Police Station.

The kidnapping occurred due to financial disputes with the child's parents, he confirmed.

Erzikat added that through investigations, the child's whereabouts were identified, and the authorities were able to retrieve him from the Susiya area while arresting one of the suspects.

The suspect was held in the precinct for 24 hours until the initial necessary legal procedures were completed.
