According to an Arab News report, Egypt will now set minimum hotel room rates in an effort to revive the country's tourism sector and ensure the quality of services provided to tourists. 

Four-star hotels must charge a minimum of $25 per person per night, and five-star hotels must charge a minimum of $40 per person per night. 

The decision will take effect Nov. 1.
