Beginning April 24, Oman will suspend travel from Pakistan, India and Bangladesh due to the continuous rise of COVID-19 cases in the Sultanate, according to local Omani media Wednesday.

Oman has recorded a total of 183,770 cases since the beginning of the pandemic, including 1,926 deaths, according to the Health Ministry.

Additionally, authorities recently imposed further restrictions ahead of the holy month of Ramadan to try to curb virus transmissions, including restrictions on movement for people and vehicles and prohibiting Ramadan gatherings and all other commercial activities such as Ramadan tents and Iftar feasts.
