Wednesday, Prime Minister Bisher Al-Khasawneh issued Communication No. 31, regarding the reimposition of allowing citizens to perform Friday prayers in mosques.

The communication requires citizens to walk to mosques on foot. One hour will be allocated for citizens to pray, in accordance with the medical protocol issued by the Ministry of Health.

According to the communication, the Minister of Awqaf and Islamic Affairs, Mohammed Al-Khalaileh, is authorized to determine the the timing for Friday prayers.

The communication affirmed that Khasawneh may amend the provisions in conjuction with the COVID-19 situation.

The provisions of the communication shall be effective Friday April 23, 2021 until further notice.
